If you love cats and I'm talking really big cats, The Little Rock Zoo invites the public to celebrate Global Tiger Day on July 30, 2022.

Global Tiger Day is celebrated annually to raise awareness for tiger conservation by encouraging the protection of tigers and their natural habitats. A safe habitat for tigers also provides a safe habitat for other species. Working for a future where people and tigers can coexist peacefully is a goal of Global Tiger Day.

Tiger Day is celebrated typically on July 29, but this year the Little Rock Zoo will celebrate it on Saturday, July 30, 2022, so that more visitors can participate in the day's activities. The Zoo has celebrated Global Tiger Day for many years and has a very special reason to celebrate this year. Jaya, our male tiger, came to Little Rock from the Jacksonville Zoo in February 2022 as a recommendation of the Tiger Species Survival Plan to breed with our female, Asmara. The Zoo is excited to announce that the ultrasound has confirmed Asmara is expecting cubs in early August.

Some Alligators In Arkansas You Can Touch - Most You Can't

If you're looking for a great day trip for the whole family may I recommend a fun outing at the Alligator Farm & Petting Zoo in Hot Springs, Arkansas? My wife has been visiting this fun attraction since she was a little girl, we manage to get around to seeing it every couple of years or so and for the most part, it stays pretty much the same, but it's always fun to pet a baby gater.

WATCH OUT: These are the deadliest animals in the world
