On Saturday, September 23, the Little Rock Zoo received a report of a wild bat flying erratically on Zoo grounds. The bat tested positive for rabies at the Arkansas Department of Health Glen F. Baker Public Health Laboratory.

Just in case you may have had plans to visit the Little Rock Zoo this weekend you may want to scrap those plans because the zoo is closed beginning today August 24, through Saturday, August 26, due to the excessive heat wave that has a grip on the state.
