Remember the old Jeff Foxworthy joke; "If you've ever mowed your lawn and found a car - you might be a redneck." Well, if that happens in Wake Village, it could cost you a bunch of money, and I don't think that will lead to happy-go-lucky redneck humor.

Wake Village Police have released a reminder to folks living within the city limits of an ordinance that stays you can't have: junked/inoperable motor vehicles, high grass, excessive brush or trash, and junk on your property.

Right now the police are sending out this warning through their Facebook Page as a friendly reminder as they have received several complaints about specific properties. The property owners in question are being notified of the situation and are expected to clean it up. Non-compliance will lead to the next step and that's when it starts costing money.

So, as the Wake Village Police request, "do your part and help clean up The Village".
