Taste of Texarkana Is Back Baby… And It Was Greatness
Tuesday night Texarkana got back together once again to raise money for Harvest Regional Food Bank in a little event called Taste of Texarkana, and it was fantastic.
Lisa and I got there early to work the Townsquare Media booth and our poor broken down old prize wheel which is desperately crying out to be retired. Seriously... But I digress. Other than our promotional equipment malfunctions the night appeared to me to be a complete success.
Good crowd, great food and drink, and really awesome to see some of the folks out and about once again. Some of which we haven't seen since before COVID.
I haven't seen the final numbers from the 2022 Taste of Texarkana and frankly, I don't need to. This event was a complete success in my humble opinion no matter what the numbers are. The Texarkana community was out in force supporting a mission and organization they truly believe in, Harvest Regional Food Bank.
Both Pleasant Grove and Texas High Jazz Bands performed for the event. they both did a great job. My apologies to PG, I didn't get back over there to grab a photo of them.
There may have been some, but I heard zero complaints about vendors, the food, or anything else. I left with a full tummy and I'm pretty sure everyone else did too.
This is one of my favorite events each year and I'm already looking forward to the next one in 2023.
My son Tyler and I have renewed our effort to take a Father & Son pic each year with the Hooters Girls. That tradition was interrupted for a while due to the Pandemic. Ain't life grand?
See y'all next year.
