Texarkana I-30 Westbound Traffic Diverted Tonight and Thursday
- Nighttime Closures at I-30/I-369/US 59 Interchange for Repair Work
Starting tonight, motorists traveling through the I-30/I-369/US 59 interchange should be aware of nighttime closures affecting I-30 westbound traffic. These closures are necessary for repair work and will result in traffic being diverted to the frontage road.
The repair work is scheduled to occur from 8 PM to 6 AM on the nights of Wednesday, March 27, and Thursday, March 28. During these overnight hours, I-30 westbound traffic will be diverted to the frontage road at Exit 220B/Richmond Road. Motorists can re-enter I-30 westbound between University and FM 989/Kings Highway.
For motorists wishing to exit to I-369S/US 59S, the recommended route is to take the westbound frontage road to University Avenue, use the U-turn bridge to access the eastbound frontage road, and then proceed to the I-369S/US 59S entrance ramp.
Reminder:
Inclement weather or unforeseen issues may cause delays or changes to this work schedule. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) reminds local commuters that the I-30 Frontage Road system provides continuous travel eastbound from FM 989/Kings Highway to US 71/State Line Avenue and westbound from US 71/State Line Avenue to FM 989/Kings Highway without stopping at traffic signals.
Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and follow all posted signs and detours during this period. TxDOT appreciates the public's cooperation and patience as these necessary repairs are completed.
Motorists can check traffic updates by visiting drivetexas.org and are encouraged to slow down and give 100% of their attention to driving.
