Americans will be celebrating the 4th of July weekend with our nation's Independence Day set for Tuesday many planned hometown celebrations and firework shows begin this weekend.
There are a number of 4th of July celebrations near the Texarkana area that will be celebrated with fireworks and other 4th-related activities.

Fireworks in Arkansas
Fireworks on Lake Hamilton (July 2) Hot Springs
If you are planning a trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas on the 4th of July weekend on Lake Hamilton they will be having an Independence Day celebration on Sunday, July 2, with a huge fireworks show over the lake located on the east side of Highway 7 at the first Highway 7 bridge. Fireworks will be launched from the middle of the lake from barges at 9:30 PM and visitors can watch the show from the shore or by boat. In case of rain, the fireworks will be rescheduled to Monday, July 3. Music for the fireworks will be provided by country station US 97 (97.5) so tune in.
Mountain Harbor Resort (July 4) Hot Springs
Celebrate America's Birthday on Tuesday, July 4, at one of our nation's cleanest lakes on beautiful Lake Ouachita with a huge fireworks show and patriotic music beginning at 9:30 PM The fun begins at 9 AM with a Red. White, and Blue party at the Mountain Harbor Resort with a Four Wheeler parade featuring jeeps, horses, golf carts, and ATVs. There will also be a flag-raising ceremony and lots of candy for the kids.
Stand Up for America (July 2) Nashville
The Nashville Chamber of Commerce is proud to present an all-American celebration on the 4th of July at Nashville City Park in Arkansas. An amazing patriotic show saluting our veterans and military kick off the event and then the party gets cranked up with Michael Hix and the Dallas Show Band with a variety of music. Tickets are $5 and $10 and a huge fireworks display will end the evening of fun and entertainment. Food vendors will be on hand with some tasty food and desserts.
Sparks Fly in July (July 1) Hope
The City of Hope Tourism Commission proudly presents Sparks Fly in July on Saturday, July 1, at the Hope Municipal Airport. Wear your red white and blue and come celebrate with a ton of activities for families enjoy food trucks and a live concert from the band Sundown. Gates open at 6 and the fireworks begin following the concert. Free admission but you are encouraged to bring a canned good donation and drop it off at the gate.
Dazzle at the Dam (July 3) Arkadelphia
Dazzle at the Dam will be held at DeGray Lake Resort State Park in Arkadelphia beginning at 8:30 PM on Monday, July 3. The City of Caddo Valley Advertising and Promotion Commission in conjunction with Iron Mountain Lodge and Marina, DeGray Lake Resort State Park, and DeGray Lake Corps of Engineers present Dazzle at the Dam Fireworks show. 4th of July Celebration (July 4) Ashdown
The City of Ashdown and the Little River Chamber of Commerce present a 4th of July Celebration at the Ashdown Junior High School beginning at 5 PM. There will be lots of family-oriented games, prizes, food trucks on-site, and live music. The fireworks are set to go off when it turns dark! Admission is FREE. Celebration in the Park (July 4) Doddridge
Doddridge Community Celebration in the Park is scheduled for Tuesday, July 4, at 11 AM at Doddridge Arkansas Park, Highway 160. There will be live music, food vendors, ice cream, watermelon, and lots of games too. Families can enjoy the bubble pool, water obstacle course, waterslides, and more. Get more details here.

Food, Family, and Fireworks - June 30 (Marshall)
Bring the entire family to Bearcreek Smokehouse for an Independence Day celebration with live music from Texarkana's Honey Duo Heather Linn and Jase Bryant. Summerfest and Fireworks - July 1 (Atlanta)
The Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Atlanta, is hosting the 2023 SummerFest and Fireworks Show on Saturday, July 1, from 6 PM to 9 PM. SummerFest includes FREE parking and admission, a live concert by The Dusty Rose Band, on-site food vendors, yard games, and more. Happy Birthday USA Fireworks Show - July 1 (Mount Pleasant)
This year's event will take place on Saturday, July 1, at the Mount Pleasant Fairgrounds from 4 PM to 10 PM. There will be games, entertainment, and live music from RoxDox, The David Whiteman Band, and Mattison Live. FreedomFest 2023 - July 4 (New Boston)
The City of New Boston and local businesses are proud to present the annual FreedonFest at T&P Trailhead Park on Tuesday, July 4, for an all-American celebration. Bring the whole family out for this free event with live music from Marlon Sharp and the Cowboys at the Cross beginning at 6 PM. Fireworks and Freedom Celebration - July 4 (Longview)
The biggest fireworks display in East Texas is happening at the Longview Convention Complex on Tuesday, July 4, from 4 PM to 10 PM. The event will feature a cruise night and patriotic car show plus entertainment and vendors inside the Maude Cobb Convention Complex. New this year will be a hot dog eating contest, barbecue eating contest, and ice cream eating contest. Registration for the contests will take place on the day of the event. A free headline concert with Marc Broussard will be held on the live music stage at 8 p.m. with opener Ryan Matthew at 6:30 p.m. The concert and fireworks and parking are free. Jefferson Salutes America - July 4 (Jefferson)
Jefferson, Texas is throwing America a huge birthday party beginning at 6 PM with a Children's parade at Otstott Park. There will be a cake and pie auction, a children's program at the Jefferson Carnegie Library, and a homemade ice cream competition. The Shreveport Metropolitan Band will be performing a free concert throughout the evening with the Quacker State Duck Race at 9:15 PM followed by a Fireworks Fantazmagoria show. The event is Free.
