Texarkana Texas Police are reporting that two robbery suspects are in custody after a shoe selection made by one of the accused led to the capture of both.

The Texarkana Texas Police report states that around 10 PM last Wednesday night, TTPD received a call about a robbery that had just happened at a convenience store in the 2700 block of South Lake Dr. According to the clerk at that location, two young men had entered the store, both with guns pointed at the clerk and demanding all the money. The clerk said they stuffed the cash into a backpack and ran out of the store in the direction of the Sunset Apartments. TTPD said they searched the are but were unable to find the pair at the time.

The clerk said they were both wearing masks in an attempt to hide their identity but one had a very unique clothing choice, one was wearing red slides, the other had on;

a "pair" of Croc type shoes (one was white and the other one was black). Unfortunately for them, they were wearing the exact same shoes when Sgt. D.E. Evans stopped them just blocks away from there a couple nights before. When he heard the description of the robbers, he immediately knew who they were and where they lived.

The Facebook Page report stated that Detective Casey Schmidt had only to compare the store's surveillance video to the footage from Sgt. Evans' body camera the next morning to confirm his suspicions.

Aggravated Robbery arrest warrants were issued for Ladarrion Brown, 20, and a 15-year-old juvenile.

The Detectives went to the juvenile's apartment where both suspects were located and and arrested. During the search the the detectives found the backpack with two authentic-looking BB guns and masks inside it, bundles of money, and the colorful shoes in the apartment.

Brown was booked into the Bi-State Jail and his bond was set at $100,000. The unnamed juvenile was taken to the Junvinal Detention Center and processed there. In addition to the warrant for this robbery, he also had an outstanding warrant for Assault in a separate case.
