Celebrate the Latino Culture at Taco Wars in Shreveport, LA

If you love tacos as I do, the place to be this Saturday, April 29, is in Shreveport, Louisiana for Taco Wars.

Taco Wars is a celebration of Latino culture and community and this event is packed with around 16 taquerias making some of the tastiest tacos and salsa all vying to take home the Golden Taco Trophy, bragging rights, and the $1000 cash prize.

Chips and Salsa will be free from each taqueria allowing each guest to taste before casting your vote for the best salsa. Winners will be announced at 7:30 p.m.

This will be a fiesta of fun beginning at noon and lasting until 8 p.m. or until the tacos run out at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium located at 705 Elvis Presley Avenue. If the King was alive today, I'm sure he would say, "Come on down for a hunk of burning taco."

There will also be drink stations, and if you bring your own water bottle you can refill it for free with Music Mountain Water. For adults, there will be plenty of margaritas, specialty drinks, and beer.

In addition to lots of tacos, there will be live music and entertainment throughout the day.
