If you've never been to the Ace of Clubs House, it was built in 1885 Its floor plan, which of course looks like the ace of clubs card from an aerial view, has three octagonal rooms at one end and a long rectangular room at the other. The money used to build the house was won in a card game so the story goes...

The house was lived in by three different families in a period of over one hundred years The last residence willed it to the Texarkana Museums System in 1985. You can take a tour of The Ace of Clubs House Tuesday through Sunday. It is and always will be a true treasure in Texarkana's history.
