The University of Arkansas Hope campus will be offering a forklift certification training class on Saturday, November 20, from 8 AM until 2:30 PM.

The class will take place in the Technical and Industrial Building, room 160. The course will be taught by Iry T. Rice of Rice Safety Consultants and the class is compliant with OSHA specifications and will provide a three-year certification. The cost of the course is $80 per person and is limited to up to 15 participants on a first-come, first-serve basis.

After completing the course, a forklift operator card will be issued along with a certificate to all attendees. All forklift operators must hold an OSHA forklift certification for working purposes, according to the Department of Labor. The certification can increase workplace safety and productivity and lower costs.
