The search is over, and there's a new police chief in town. The Texarkana, Arkansas City Manager E. Jay Ellington made the special announcement yesterday after months of interviewing nationwide for the position. Michael Kramm is the new police chief and will begin on October 24

Ellington said in a press release,

The number of qualified applicants tells me the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is well respected.

Chief Kramm is a graduate of LeTourneau University and he also has an MBA from the University of Houston Clear Lake. Chief Kramm is also a graduate of the FBI Academy.

According to a press release Chief Kramm served in the United States Navy. He began his law enforcement career at the League City Police Department.

He was a patrol officer, motorcycle officer, Field Training Officer, Field Training Coordinator and Administrator, Special Operations Division Commander and a member of the SWAT Tactical Team. He also served as the League City Police Chief and the Assistant City Manager for League City.
