Habitat for Humanity Texarkana is Assisting Seniors With Home Repairs
If you need repairs to your home Habitat for Humanity Texarkana might be able to help you. Habitat for Humanity Texarkana has teamed up with the City of Texarkana Arkansas and is in the process of accepting applications from Texarkana, Arkansas residents for the Critical Home Repair Program.
This program helps reduce the repair costs based on the applicant's income and focuses on qualified senior citizens needing help.
Who Qualifies For The Critical Home Repair Program?
To qualify for this program, you must be 65 years of age or older, disabled or a military veteran. Your house must also be in the Texarkana, Arkansas city limits and own or reside in a home that is in need of repair.
How Does This Program Work?
The great thing about this program is it helps those in our area that might not be able to do the repair work themselves for are not able to afford it and licensed professionals are hired to do all the repair work. The funding for the program comes from the Community Development Block Grant.
