Holiday in the Park At Six Flags Over Texas Continues Into 2026

Six Flags Over Texas is currently in the middle of its 40th annual Holiday In The Park event as it celebrates Christmas. The park is adorned with millions of twinkling lights, holiday-themed shows, decorations, and has tasty holiday treats. Many of the park's rides are sporting holiday decorations too. There is still time to experience this holiday tradition as it runs through January 4, 2026.

A Major Off-Season Ahead for Six Flags

Six Flags Over Texas is gearing up for a monumental 2026. The park announced it will be closed for an 'off-season' and will open again on Saturday, February 28. This will mark the beginning of a season-long celebration as Six Flags Over Texas celebrates its 65th anniversary.

Six Flags Over Texas Will Celebrate 65 Years of Thrills

Yes, Six Flags Over Texas, the original theme park in Arlington, turns 65 on August 1, 2026, and this is going to be one phenomenal year for the theme park. The park has already been going through stages of refurbishment and freshening up, but during the roughly two-month off-season, changes will be made, and the park will look fresh as it celebrates 65 years of thrills and entertainment.

New Giga Dive Coaster: Tormenta Rampaging Run Coming To Six Flags Over Texas

In addition to new entertainment, food and beverage items, attractions enhancements, and park-wide beautification programs, Six Flags Over Texas will debut a record-breaking giga dive coaster sometime in 2026. Tormenta Rampaging Run will break six world records and leave coaster enthusiasts, like ms, in awe and wanting to ride it again and again.

Six Flags Over Texas will open weekends beginning February 28 and be open weekdays for the summer season beginning Memorial Day weekend.

What to Expect in the 2026 Season At Six Flags Over Texas

According to a Six Flags Over Texas press release, the 65th commemoration will feature exclusive previews, special events, giveaways, and many surprises, making it a historic celebration worthy of the first Six Flags park that started it all. Something I have no doubt will be special all year long, especially when August 1st rolls around.
