Holiday Parties + Wine? Call for a Free Ride Home Tonight
(East Texas) This is truly the most wonderful time of the year. There is so much that happens in the short time between Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. However, one tragic event can destroy it all. Not only for you, but for innocent people, too.
Drinking and driving.
This is the time of the year that we enjoy hosting and attending parties. Whether it's with family, friends, or coworkers, the holiday party can be one of the best things that occurs during the season. Besides all the conversation, gift exchanges, games, and activities, there's the food and drink.

Why the Holidays Increase DUI Risk
When it comes to drinks, you must remain in control and know your limits. You should never get behind the wheel of a vehicle and drive after you've been drinking. Your judgment is severely impaired, and your decision-making skills are diminished dramatically after you've had just a couple of beers or alcoholic beverages.
Driving while intoxicated can also have dramatic consequences for you and others on the road. So, if you're at a company function, friend's party, or Aunt Maggie and Uncle David's house for a family party and you've had a few drinks, you need to arrange for a ride share service or have a sober person at the party take you home safely.
How the Free Ride Program Works
If those options are not available, there is a FREE ride home program for you to take advantage of without strings attached. For more than 20 years now, the Roberts & Roberts Law Firm in Tyler has been arranging for free rides home for those who need one after partying a bit too much, and can no longer legally drive.
The 'Ride Is On Us' Campaign
The 'Ride Is On Us' free ride program runs Friday, December 5, through Thursday, January 1, 2026. In a special partnership with the East Texas Council of Governments (ETCOG), GoBus, and Yellow Checker Cab of Longview, residents can arrange for a free ride home when they've had too much to drink. The ride will cost you nothing thanks to Roberts & Roberts.

Justin Roberts of Roberts & Roberts Law says, "We’re proud to continue offering a practical way for people to make the safe choice. If you’ve been drinking — don’t risk it. Call for a free ride and get home safely."
Randy Roberts adds, "If you need it, the ride is still on us. Please use this service so you don’t need our legal services instead."
It's perfectly fine to party and have fun this holiday season, but you must remember to do it safely and arrange for a FREE ride home.
