Arkansas and Texas Eclipse travelers, you better pay attention to this. When I first saw this story yesterday, April 1, I thought for sure it was some kind of April Fools Joke. Apparently, it is not a joke. The path of the April 8, 2024, eclipse has indeed shifted a bit, and gotten a little wider.

Yep, you're right, this means that some communities, that were in the path of totality, may now be out, and some new towns are now in.

If you made plans, and/or reservations at hotels along that path, you better check and make sure where you were headed is still in it.

Of course, this has no bearing on whether the weather will cooperate for us or not, cloud cover, storms, we're still six days out and Ark-La-Tex viewing is still up in the air are far as we know. Watch for a new report on that tomorrow.

Traffic is still going to be a nightmare in a lot of places, especially right when it's over. Experts are predicting major delays along every corridor. You can get more information about that here.
