It's here, this is the week Texarkana gets a taste of grocery shopping that's a little different than we are used to called Aldi Food Markets. Aldi has locations all over the US so, some of you may have shopped at one before, if you haven't, they do things a bit differently than we are used to.

• Cart/Buggie Usage Costs a Quarter - No worries, you get the quarter back when you return the cart.
• Bring your own bag(s) -  No plastic bags are available at any Aldis, they just don't. So, bring your own bag or purchase one or two from them. Yes, you have to bag your own stuff at Aldi as well.
• Low-price leader - Providing access to affordable groceries is important and that’s why ALDI is committed to offering fresh food at the lowest possible prices.
• Simplicity - ALDI takes a simple approach to retailing that saves customers time and money. They carry a carefully selected range of products, saying that they sell exactly what customers need. Nothing more, nothing less.

If you haven't seen it yet, the new location in Texarkana is 2315 Richmond Road Suite 1A, next to Conns.

When?

The official grand opening date is this Thursday, April 25, with the ribbon cutting at 8:30 AM. Regular store hours will be 9 AM - 8 PM daily.

Grand Opening Weekend!

To celebrate the Texarkana grand opening, the first 100 customers on Thursday, April 25 will receive a gift card as part of the ALDI Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes during the grand opening weekend April 25-28 for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card. YES... this Wednesday the new Texarkana Aldi is rumored to be open. All of the Grand opening weekend hoopla will start on Thursday though.
