New Grocery + Home Concept Store Now Open in Texarkana

Now Texarkana has a new place to shop for groceries and more! There's a new market and it doesn't have the Walmart name attached to it. Welcome DG Market a new concept store from the Dollar General family that has opened on U.S. Highway 82 East.

I was out in that area this weekend when I noticed the new store so I stopped in to check it out I was pleasantly surprised. Heck, I haven't heard a thing about this store coming to town it kind of stayed under the radar, to say the least.

DG Market is like a Dollar General store but twice the size and carries fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, and dairy products, with an expanded line of groceries. It's like having two stores within one because now not only can you purchase groceries but you still are able to buy home decor, seasonal items, beauty supplies, and all the household essentials needed to make your home complete.

DG Market also has more varieties of beverages and a bigger frozen food section.

In fact, the DG Market website offers recipes you can try with the food available at DG Market like the Mexican Shrimp Quesadillas or the Buffalo Chicken Pizza.

Dollar General is now introducing its Popshelf stand-alone stores across the U.S. that cater to a more affluent upscale shopper and this new store is basically a combination of both.

DG Market is all about offering their customers the best quality at a great value. Dollar General plans to transition more stores into DG Markets in the coming years and with the rising cost due to inflation, consumers continue to look for more ways to stretch their dollars.

Remember DG Market stores offer over 2,000 items for $1 or less and make sure you download their app for more savings with the digital coupon and look for their weekly specials.

The only other DG Market is one hour away from Texarkana so having a new DG Market is a  plus for the Texarkana community. No word yet if any other stores in town will transition to a DG Market but I'm sure if this one succeeds it's only a matter of time.
