Enjoy Final ‘Cultural Night Market’ of Summer on Saturday in Downtown Texarkana
This Saturday evening July 16 in downtown Texarkana the Texarkana Farmers’ Market will be hosting a special night market with their final Cultural Night Market of the Summer.
The Texarkana Farmers' Market holds these fun and informative cultural night markets every third Saturday of the month during market season. This is a great chance for people to come out and not only shop for locally grown produce but also to enjoy a cultural food demonstration plus other great activities.
This week, Chef Alicia Prater, owner of Shell Shocked Catering, is scheduled to host a food demonstration. Chef Prater is a culinary teacher at Texarkana College. Some of the free samples she will be cooking up Saturday evening are fried chicken, simmered cabbage, and macaroni and cheese.
The rest of the regular schedule for Texarkana Farmers' Markets on Saturday mornings from 7 AM to Noon will be themed:
July 23 Farmer Spotlight
July 30 Friendship Day
August 6 Best Salsa in the Ark-La-Tex
Have you been to the Texarkana Farmers' Market's new location? It's located at 500 N. Stateline Ave from 7 AM until sold out. There is no admission. This is always a family and pet-friendly event.
You can keep up to date with everything going on at the Texarkana Farmers' Market on their Facebook page.
