Christus St. Michael Chief Executive Officer and President Chris Karam will leave the hospital for a job in Alexandria. Louisiana.The Christus St. Michael Health System Sisters, ministry leaders, Associates and physicians will welcome members of the community to a reception honoring departing President and Chief Executive Officer, Chris Karam and his 22-years-of-service at CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System.

The reception is open to all members of the Texarkana community and surrounding region and is scheduled for 4 – 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, at the CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System - Texarkana Dining Atrium located at 2600 St. Michael Dr.

Chief Operating Officer Jason Rounds said

“The entire Texarkana community is deeply indebted to Chris for his tireless and dedicated service to improving the lives of everyone who calls this region home. His passion for this area and people has been evident to each Associate, physician, volunteer and team member who has served with him for more than 20 years. And though we are excited for the future of health care in Texarkana, we will miss the daily positive presence and encouragement Chris helps to instill in this organization.”

Karam will remain part of the Christus Health system and is transitioning to a new role as the Senior Vice President of Group Operations for Louisiana and Southeast Texas and President/CEO of CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Health System in Alexandria, Louisiana.
