Yesterday afternoon, the Texarkana Texas Police arrested the second suspect in the shooting last Friday night where an innocent bystander was seriously wounded by a stray bullet as he was getting ice in the Oaklawn Village parking lot in Texarkana Texas.

Police were informed that 26-year-old Benjamin Jacobs was driving toward Texarkana on Interstate 30 Tuesday night March 29. Jacobs also had eight felony and misdemeanor warrants for his arrest.
Officer Cole Bredenberg was on the lookout for Jacobs' vehicle at the city limits when he saw Jacobs drive by. Once the officer tried to pull him over Jacobs took off and a high-speed chase of up to 80-100 mph where Jacobs exited I-30 at the Nash exit.
According to the TTPD Facebook page;
He turned onto Richmond Road and ran several traffic lights while Officer Bredenberg pursued the vehicle. After driving to the back of an apartment complex in the 1400 block of Richmond Road, Jacobs jumped out of his car and managed to climb through a hole in the fence. We continued to chase him on foot until he tried to hide under a car parked in the front yard of a house on College Drive.
He was eventually arrested without further incident and taken to the Bi-State Jail.

He was arrested for Evading Arrest in a Vehicle from Tuesday night. Then yesterday Detective Cliff Harris obtained two more arrest warrants for Jacobs for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Deadly Conduct for the shooting last Friday March 25 and arrested him on those additional charges in the jail..
Jacobs has accused quits a few warrants now;
 Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Interference with an Emergency Call. Plus six Failure to Appear warrants on arrests where he previously bonded out but never showed up for his court dates. His total bond for these charges was originally set at $120,000.
As of this writing, a bond has not yet been set on the new charges.
