World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade Features Cheech Marin

Hot Springs National Park Arkansas is getting ready for its biggest party of the year, the 19th Annual World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade on Thursday, March 17, on Bridge Street.

People from all over the world including local and nationally known celebrities have been coming to Hot Springs to be a part of this festive one-of-kind celebration.

Parade Marshall

This year actor comedian Cheech Marin of Cheech and Chong fame will be leading the parade as the Parade Grand Marshall.

Parade Official Starter

Well known Hollywood actor Danny Trejo, of the popular "Machete" movies will be the Parade Official Starter or bad guy if you will.

The King and Queen of the St. Patrick's Day Parade this year will be University of Arkansas Head Football Coach Sam Pittman and his wife, Jamie. Special appearances from the Big Idaho Potato, the World's Largest Leprechaun and Charlie Evans and Paw Patrol. See the complete lineup here.

As always. the "Marching Irish Elvi", Elvis impersonators will don their capes and glitter jumpsuits for a great time, if you know what I mean and I think you do.

There will be Irish belly dancers, giant cheech puppeteers, world's largest inflatable Irish Pub and a Cheech and Chong lowrider car.

Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders

Come out and see the world famous Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders get the crowd pumped up. Enjoy great food, green beer, green hair, beads and necklaces that will be tossed out to the crowd in the 98-foot parade route that's known as Ripley's World's Shortest Street that is active everyday in Hot Springs. Even water fountains in the downtown area will be turned green for this huge festival.

You will not want to miss the Kissing of the Arkansas Blarney Stone and dance the night away with a free concert from legendary rock icons Foghat after the parade.

The party continues following evening with a free concert from Sugar Ray.
