Did you know there is an entire abandoned village not far from Texarkana? It was built for a TV show a few years back.
The village was built for the filming of the TV show Salem. The series was loosely based on the Salem, Massachusetts witch trials in the 17th century. Filming of the TV show took place in this village from 2014 to 2017.
It's An Entire Village
This Village is Big
This filming location has 25 buildings. According to themobileinstinict.com 13 of those buildings were totally finished inside and out for filming the others were built as facades.
It's just such a shame to see it all abandoned and falling apart because it could have made such a great tourist attraction.
The set is located somewhere in Northern Lousiana not far from Shreveport. Unfortunately, it is on private property so, there is no way to see it in person, But we have photos. Let's check it out with some photos from the show and what the movie set looks like now.
The Sibley House
The main house in the show was the Sibley House. Here's one of the main characters on the balcony.
