The Texarkana Texas Police department is warning citizens to be on the lookout for more counterfeit money that is being circulated in the Texarkana area.

There were some instances of counterfeit money around the Christmas season and now there are more local businesses finding some 'funny money'. One business turned in a counterfeit $100 dollar bill they came across recently.

Shawn Vaughn of the Texarkana Texas Police reports that they receive about one to two calls a week about some suspicious money that a business has received.

Officer Vaughn said the easiest way to see if your money is fake is looking or feeling for the ridges or checking the money in the light to see the watermarks on the bill to verify it is the real thing, and that it is the right president on the bill.  Arklatexhomepage.com
