Texarkana Texas Police Say Goodbye to a Loyal K9 Officer

The Texarkana Texas Police Department said goodbye to a very special dog this past weekend as K9 Officer Ide passed away. Ide worked with the police department starting back in 2006 until he was retired in 2012.

We are sad to share with you that K9 Ide, who was a little over twelve years old, passed away of natural causes on Saturday. He worked from 2006 until he was medically retired in 2012 due to a training injury. During his career with us, he worked with Officers Jeremy Sutton and Bo Carter.
