If you are going to be commuting this week through Texarkana be advised that some road work during the nighttime hours is scheduled to take place on Interstate 30 eastbound in Texarkana.

Beginning Wednesday, October 27, and Thursday, October 28, eastbound lanes are scheduled to be closed from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Approximately one mile of Interstate 30 will be affected. Traffic will be detoured to the eastbound Frontage Road at Exit 223 just past Summerhill Road. Motorists can re-enter at the entrance ramp before State Line Avenue. Westbound lanes will remain open.

The scheduled nighttime closures are a result of planned work at the KCS Railroad bridge.

All closures are subject to change based on weather and other circumstances.
