Classes for the Spring Semester at SAU start-up this Wednesday, January 12, and with the surge in Omnicron cases the university is changing things up a little.
How great is this? I love to see our history preserved and if you have ever been to the campus of Southern Arkansas University then you most likely have seen the beautiful historic Bussey Hall. It is one of the landmarks on campus.
The extraordinary generosity of SAU’s alumni and friends led to this year’s seventh annual Giving Day becoming one for the books.
Even in the midst of the uncertainties caused by the COVID-19 crisis, Southern Arkansas University surpassed Fall 2019 college enrollment (excluding high school enrollment) by 55 with 4,107 students compared to 4,052. Graduate enrollment increased by 11 percent with totals of 985 compared to 888. The total fall enrollment for Fall 2020 is 4,442.
The College of Science and Engineering at Southern Arkansas University proudly hosted the 2019 Engineering Summer Camp, June 10-13. Dr. Abdel Bachri, dean of the COSE, said students took home incredible knowledge from the camp, which hopefully will inspire students to develop a love for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) disciplines.
