We hope and pray that this is the last report we will ever give on area COVID-19 numbers. Checking out Trauma Service Area F from the charts below, we see significant improvement: 30 hospitalized, down 89 from 119 two weeks ago,  15 people are in ICU, down 17 from the last report. 10 are on ventilators down from 15 two weeks ago, and still 0 reported pediatric patients in our area. Finally, we are seeing significant drops in case numbers across Texas and Arkansas, including deaths, and hospitalizations. Thank goodness, we didn't speak too soon about being over the hump, overall cases are on the way down and hospitalizations continue to drop in the Texarkana area. We may have spoken too soon about being over the hump, overall cases took a pretty big jump this week in Trauma Service Area F (that's us), however, hospitalizations are still trending downward. Just when we thought we were safe and getting back to normal. Covid is back in our area big time, with the state of Texas reporting that currently in Bowie County we now have 1,155 active cases. Authorities in Texarkana are reminding citizens to take proper precautions.
