We hope you and yours had a good week last week because there are a bunch of Bowie County folks who did not, 89 to be more precise. Your Bowie County Sheriff's Office had a busy week with a total of 89 people arrested last week, 29 of those by BCSO, and another 60 were turned over by other law enforcement agencies to Bowie County.

A bit milder temperatures and some rain last week were the highlights of the weather, the highlights, or lowlights, or at least the numbers of those arrested in the Sheriff's Report went down last week as well. Your Bowie County Sheriff's Office arrested a total of 67 people last week, 17 of those by BCSO, another 46 were turned over by other law enforcement agencies to Bowie County.

Time to close out the hottest month of the year for your Sheriff's Report, as August winds down now we are jumping into Fall Festival season, let's hope those don't lead to more shenanigans. We don't know if the heat made things worse last week or not, but for whatever reason the number of arrests in Bowie County took a pretty large jump. Bowie County, Texas is coming off a fairly mild week as August temperatures go, and the number of arrests in Bowie County was down too. We knew it was too good to last, that little lull in arrests we had for a couple of weeks came to an abrupt end last week when Bowie County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a total of 95 people. 58 of those arrested were by BCSO, another 37 were turned over by other law enforcement agencies to Bowie County.
