Here's a fun way to help the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund. They are having a Mother-Daughter Photo Contest that will benefit scholarships across the state of Arkansas.

Tomorrow, on September, 9, be sure to join The United Way of Greater Texarkana and CenterPoint Energy New Boston from 11AM to 1PM  as they will be cooking up burgers for the clients of the Friendship Center and the Randy Sams Outreach Shelter.

You can make a difference this weekend. Be sure to stop by the benefit garage sale today or tomorrow for Damon Martin who is battling throat cancer.

There will be a benefit tonight (Thursday, April 2) for Gary Eaves at Big Jake's BBQ located at 1521 Arkansas Boulevard, Texarkana, Ar.

There will be a benefit trail ride for the family of Tommy Cowley this Saturday October 25.

There is a benefit on Saturday to raise money to help Jamie Lawing for medical, traveling and expenses during her treatment for Osteosarcoma. A concert is planned featuring the band "Unseen." There are also silent auctions of great items that have been donated. Booths will be set up for many different kinds of vendors--see the list below.

Last week I wrote about a benefit that will take place for Mary Adcock and Vicki Lawrence. The mother and daughter are both fighting cancer.  Now, the date is set! So, please mark your calendars for Sunday, August 11 at Shooters!
