We attended the Courthouse/Post Office/Christmas Tree Lighting and Time Capsule burial last Friday night, December 8 in downtown Texarkana and the weather cooperated, thank goodness.

Domestic Violence Prevention, Inc. is almost ready for its 2023 Santa Store Christmas program giving parents a chance to Christmas shop for their children at no cost. Thanks to your donations, DVP will fill the store with new, unwrapped, age-appropriate toys and items that a parent can choose for their child at no cost to them.

Your Bowie County Sheriff's Department sends us the list each week but here is a sobering thought, "you know who" is getting that list each week as well. The first full week of December brought us 55 arrests. Of which, Bowie County Deputies made 25 arrests, and the remaining 30 were made by other law enforcement agencies and turned over to Bowie County. ...
