Once you sign up for the SWEPCO Energy Star Pathway they will come to your house and give you a free energy assessment. If you qualify then an approved contractor will come and install the upgrades at no cost to you: Services and upgrades available include:

  • Attic insulation
  • LED bulbs
  • Duct sealing
  • High-efficiency showerheads and faucet aerators
  • Air sealing
  • Wall insulation
  • Advanced power strips

According to the SWEPCO website to qualify:

To qualify for the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Pathway, your home must have a valid SWEPCO Arkansas residential account, have been occupied for the last year, and either be at least ten years old or have had an electric bill in the last year that was at least $0.10/sq. ft. In addition, your home cannot have participated in a weatherization program offered either through a utility or the government in the past five years.

There are also great rebates on smart thermostats and more incentives, including according to their website: $75 per ENERGY STAR® certified smart thermostat. Limit two (2) per service address. Rebate applies only to SWEPCO customers with an active residential account.
