The Sam Adams Beer Company is well known by most of us but did you know they are going to make a beer that is illegal in 15 states including Arkansas?

The Samuel Adams company is brewing a special 'Utopia Beer'. This is such a special beer that it is only brewed once every two years. Jim Koch the founder of the Samuel Adams company had this to say about the special brew' "We pioneered the barrel-aging and blending process of Utopias almost thirty years ago and continue that time-honored tradition today."

But here is the reason you will not find the beer in Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Idaho, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Utah, Vermont, or West Virginia. The Utopia Beer has an alcohol content that is 28 percent. The average beer has an alcohol content of just 4.2 percent.

Utopia Beer will be available in select markets on October 11 and it is brewed in small batches of only 13,000 bottles. ON top of only being available in limited markets and in small batches here is the big kicker for me it costs $240 for a 25.4-ounce bottle. I know,  but on their website, they go into detail about the process of brewing the beer including the 2,000 pounds of cherries, and that the has been aged for 24 years in these specific barrels.

I am not a big drinker, but I would like to try this just to say I have had a taste. But at $240 a bottle, it will not be much of a possibility. Would you be interested in sampling this unique "Utopia Beer"?
