
Meet the Final Three: UAHT Chancellor Search Narrows Down to Impressive Candidates
The University of Arkansas System has announced they are down to three finalists in the search for the next chancellor of the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT).
Now each of the candidates will visit the Hope campus later this month to meet with faculty, staff, students, and community members during public forums.

U of A Hope-Texarkana Chancellor Candidates & Dates They Will Visit
Laura Clark is the current Vice Chancellor for Academics and Interim Chancellor, University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana – November 14
Ricky Tompkins, Ed.D., is currently the Vice President for Technical Education and Workforce Development, North Arkansas College – November 17
Steve Rook, Ed.D., is currently the Chancellor, Arkansas State University Three Rivers – November 18
Each public forum will be held at 3:45 PM on the Hope campus and is open to everyone.
Search Process and Next Steps in Choosing Next UAHT Chancellor
The national search began in July and it was led by an advisory committee that was chaired by Misty Hughes, Dean of Institutional Effectiveness at UAHT, and coordinated by Chris Thomason, Vice President for Strategic and Community College Partnerships for the UA System.

UA System President Jay B. Silveria thanked the committee for its dedication and said in a press release,
With these impressive finalists identified, the next step of hosting them on campus for meetings with faculty, staff, students and community constituents is critical to determining the best fit to lead this campus forward.
After the visits, Silveria will make the difficult decision and recommend one of the candidates to the UA Board of Trustees. The plan is to have a new chancellor in place for the spring semester that starts in January.
