Texas High School Band Selected to Perform at 2025 Presidential Inauguration

Texas High Band Director Arnie Lawson is thrilled and honored that the Tiger Marching Band has been chosen to participate in the prestigious parade.

The Texarkana Gazette reports the band has already begun practicing and preparing for what could be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. After a video presentation and information about the band's awards and accolades, it wasn't until Christmas break on New Year's Eve, that the band was notified they were selected.

It takes a lot of money to get to Washington, DC and fundraising efforts have already started by raising $20,000. However, the band needs $300,000 to help pay for travel expenses, transportation, and hotel rooms.
