Another day of school closings in our area due to the Winter Storm Warning and the expected icy road conditions in the morning. The following schools have canceled school for Friday, January 10.

De Kalb School District -Closed Friday

Foreman Public Schools -Closed Friday

Hope School District - Closed Friday.

Malta Schools - Closed Friday

Maud ISD - Closed Friday

New Boston School - Closed Friday

Redwater ISD - Closed Friday

Texarkana ISD - Closed Friday

Texarkana Arkansas School District - Closed Friday

Texarkana College- continue Virtually on Friday

Texas A&M-Texarkana will go to remote operations Friday. Classes have not yet started for the spring semester, so this does not impact instruction. Their enrollment services and advising staff will be prepared to connect with students remotely and virtually to help students with enrollment/advising/registration..

U of A Hope - Texarkana - Both campuses closed on Friday. Due to the inclement weather, the last day to register for spring classes has been extended to Tuesday, January 14.

Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life.
