As of this morning, Monday, June 16, authorities are still searching for a Texarkana woman who is allegedly accused in the death of her 8-month-old son. He died after being placed in scalding hot bath water.

Warrants of manslaughter and injury to a child have been issued for 21-year-old Jatoria Renae Cleamons.

On February 4, the Hooks Police Department and the Bowie County Sheriff's Office were called about a medical emergency at a house on Kennedy Circle. When police arrived, EMTs were already there performing CPR on the child. Sadly, the child did not survive.

According to the Texarkana Gazette, during the investigation into the death, Cleamons reportedly talked with law enforcement and stated that two weeks earlier she put her baby in hot bath water because she was upset he had soiled in his diaper. She was living on Elizabeth Street in Texarkana at the time. When her baby died, she was staying with family in Hooks.

The baby's body was sent to Dallas for an autopsy. Results of the autopsy show that the baby died from thermal injuries and the death was ruled a homicide. Police issued warrants for Jatoria on Friday, June 13.

If you see Jatoria or know her location, please call 911.
