Staff members will be dressed up in their favorite 50s styles. Everyone is invited and while it is not required, you are definitely encouraged to come dressed in your best 1950s style. Think saddle shoes, poodle skirts, rolled up jeans and ponytails for the girls and slicked back hair for the boys.

The Texarkana Public Library opened in 1925 and has been a part of our community ever since. It first opened in a Victorian house on 7th Street and Stateline Avenue and moved to its current location in the 1970s. When you stop by, be sure to get your 100th anniversary edition library card!
