As of May 22, 99 Red Lobster locations have already been closed due to bankruptcy in 28 states in the United States. According to a new report on Friday, June 7, more could be in danger of closing soon if Red Lobster cannot renegotiate their leases.

According to the latest report from USA TODAY, 228 leases have been rejected and the company will continue to lose money if they continue operation. Many restaurants that have already closed have auctioned off their kitchen equipment as part of the liquidation process. Now 130 existing Red Lobster locations are also in danger of shutting down.
