More Red Lobster Locations Could Close in Texas and Arkansas

As of May 22, 99 Red Lobster locations have already been closed due to bankruptcy in 28 states in the United States. According to a new report on Friday, June 7, more could be in danger of closing soon if Red Lobster cannot renegotiate their leases.

According to the latest report from USA TODAY, 228 leases have been rejected and the company will continue to lose money if they continue operation. Many restaurants that have already closed have auctioned off their kitchen equipment as part of the liquidation process. Now 130 existing Red Lobster locations are also in danger of shutting down.

Red Lobster has been struggling with underperforming stores, operational challenges, failed strategic initiatives, and, increased competition in the restaurant industry which led to filing for bankruptcy.

Below is a list of Red Lobster locations in Texas and Arkansas from USA TODAY that could close next if lease negotiations fail.
