A Texarkana man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison following a jury conviction on multiple drug and firearm charges.

Kevin Arnold was the subject of a 2023 investigation by the Narcotics Task Force, which gathered evidence through confidential informants and controlled drug purchases. Based on this evidence, police were able to obtain a search warrant for Arnold's residence.

During that search, officers found two firearms on Arnold's mattress, the search also uncovered 212.7 grams of suspected metahnphetamine, 30.5 grams of marijuana, two digital scales, an extended firearm magazine, and $536 in cash.

Arnold's trial began on Monday, February 24, and concluded Friday, February 28, 2025. The jury concluded that Kevin Arnold was guilty of Delivery of a Schedule II controlled substance (Methamphetamines) over 10 grams but under 200 grams, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, Trafficking a Schedule II Controlled Substance (Methamphetamines), and Maintaining a Drug Premises.

Arnold was sentenced to 50 years in prison.

In a press release on Monday, March 10, the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department credited the Miller County Prosecutor's Office for its work in securing the conviction and expressed appreciation to the jurors for their service. TAPD said the verdict represents a major step in the community's ongoing fight against illegal drug activity in our area.
