TexAmericas Center, which owns and operates the fifth-ranked industrial park in the country, has received a Rural Business Development Grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to help boost business growth and job creation across the Texarkana region.

USDA Grant Supports Business Growth in Texarkana

The USDA grant will help TexAmericas Center continue its role as a regional economic engine by supporting studies and providing technical assistance for small and emerging businesses looking to locate in the area. The focus will be on industries already targeted by the organization, helping companies get up and running faster and with fewer barriers.

TexAmericas Helping Businesses Get to Market Faster

By using grant funds for early-stage planning and hands-on support, TexAmericas Center will aim to shorten the time it takes for employers to move from idea to operation. That approach helps attract new tenants while strengthening the region’s overall competitiveness.

Long-Term Benefits for the Texarkana Region

The USDA Rural Business Development Grant program is designed to strengthen rural economies through planning, technical assistance, and helping with business development.

Over time, TexAmericas Center plans to expand the impact of the grant by working with local colleges and workforce boards on targeted training programs, as well as support services like export readiness and cybersecurity assistance.
With the existing partnerships and infrastructure, this grant is expected to help generate sustainable investment and high-quality jobs across the Texarkana region.
