93 Arrested by Bowie County Deputies Last Week – Sheriff’s Report for July 28

Your Bowie County Sheriff's Report is ready from last week. The total number of county arrests increased some, to 93 total. Sheriff Jeff Neal says that BCSO deputies arrested 48, while other law enforcement agencies brought in 45.

Bowie County Sheriff's Weekly Crime Summary

The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office responded to a range of incidents last week, making several arrests for violent crimes, drug offenses, and theft. Below is a breakdown of activity by crime type:

• Sex Crimes / Crimes Against Children
• Possession of Child Pornography: Joseph Anthony Sterle was sentenced on a child pornography charge.
• Aggravated Sexual Assault & Sexual Assault of a Child: Cedric Troy Cooley received jail sanctions for both charges involving a child under 14.
• Sexual Assault of a Child: Reported on North State Line Avenue in Texarkana.
• Sexual Assault: Reported on Barkman Bend Road in Hooks.
• Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child: Jim Maurice Ceal was arrested on James Bowie Drive in New Boston.
• Endangering a Child: Mykayla Nicole McGowen was sentenced for abandoning or endangering a child.
• Injury to a Child: Reported on Buchanan Road, Texarkana; Lane Alexander Clark was also arrested on related warrants.

• Assault Causing Bodily Injury: Multiple reports from Simms, Texarkana, and New Boston.
• Assault by Contact (Family Violence): Occurred in DeKalb and New Boston.
• Assault on a Public Servant: Two separate cases, one on West Front Street and another on North State Line Avenue.
• Assault on EMS Personnel: Joshua Alan Young was sentenced for this offense.
• Deadly Conduct: Reported on Thomas Hill Road in Hooks.
• Terroristic Threat & Resisting Arrest: Dorothy Lucille Willeford was arrested on County Road 1116 in Maud.
• Evading Arrest: Reported on Church Street in Maud.
• Attempted Assault on a Peace Officer: Tramika Lasha Scoby arrested on related warrants.

Drug Offenses

• Possession of a Controlled Substance: At least 10 individuals were arrested or sentenced for drug charges throughout the week, including Roderick Marcus Forte, Taylor Justin Dawson, Sean Dale Rafferty, and Khyler Laine Henderson.
• Methamphetamine Possession (1–4 grams): Larry Allan McCarty was arrested on Smith Road.
• Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility: Reported on West Front Street in Texarkana.
• Attempted Possession: Joshua Deandrea Ray was arrested for attempting to possess a controlled substance.

Weapons Offenses

• Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon: Jail sanctions or warrants served on multiple individuals, including Dennis Ray Kruse and Roberlynisti Wayon McHenry.

• Theft of Vehicle: Two separate reports involving a Toyota Corolla and an EZ Go golf cart, both later recovered.

• Assault, drug charges, firearm violations, forgery, exploitation of vulnerable individuals, and bond or probation violations.
