Texarkana’s Iconic Ace of Clubs House Opens for Holiday Tours
One of Texarkana's most iconic and unique homes, the Ace of Clubs House, is getting ready to shine bright this holiday season.
Christmas in December: Aces Shine Bright House Tours in Texarkana
One of the city's landmarks will be opening its doors to the general public for the Aces Shine Bright house tours on December 4. The 1885 Victorian Italianate home, uniquely designed to resemble an Ace of Clubs, is undergoing a quarter-of-a-million-dollar makeover. The restoration project is ongoing, but the first floor is finished and has been tastefully decorated for the holidays.
Special Holiday Event Planned for Opening Night, December 4
Opening night is December 4, with a special Ace Shines Bright event. Besides touring the home, guests can enjoy wine and hors d'oeuvres. Tickets are $75. Local designers have decorated each room on the first floor to reflect an old-time Christmas feel, and visitors will learn the history behind the Ace of Clubs House.
"We cordially invite the community to come see this amazing transformation of this astonishing home, decorated for the holidays. The staff and local designers have worked hard to get this ready for this special Christmas showing," Ana Willis, Executive Director, Texarkana Museum Systems.
