There is a chance we could see some severe weather in Texarkana this starting this afternoon and into Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service, We are under a high risk for severe weather as early as this afternoon. We have a possibility for up to 2 inches of rain, large hail, high winds, possible flash flooding. Fortunately, the tornado possibility has gone away for this storm. Here are the latest forecast details from the National Weather Service.

Today Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 3pm. Cloudy, with a high near 74. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Tonight Showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 3am. Some of the storms could be severe and produce heavy rainfall. Low around 44. Southeast wind around 15 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

Saturday A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 9am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a temperature falling to around 41 by 5pm. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Saturday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 27. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable in the evening.
