With the long Memorial holiday weekend fast approaching, what are your plans for some fun in the sun?

If you are vacationing in Arkansas this summer there are two largest water parks that are worth the drive.

Crystal Falls Water Park at Magic Springs

Crystal Falls Water Park is part of Magic Springs theme park and is the most popular in the state because not only does it provide thrill-seeking rides at Magic Springs but offers sun-seekers a chance to cool off with some pretty gnarly water attractions that include eight tube slides, side by side racing slides, three body slides, kid's splash island, a huge wave pool where you can learn to surf on a boogie board, or just relax and float down the lazy river.

For those wanting to stay out of the sun, there are shaded cabanas available for rent. The best part about this park is that you pay one admission and get the use of both parks. The water park opens on May 28, Memorial weekend.

Check out their website or Facebook page for a schedule of events and tickets.

Parrot Island Water Park

Parrot Island Paradise is the newest park in Arkansas located in Fort Smith. Parrot Island was built to create a tropical-feeling atmosphere with over 400,000 gallons of aquatic fun including the two-lane Flowrider where you can learn how to surf on the most popular surfing machine in the world.

Take on some waves and cool off in the incredible refreshing wave pool. If that's not enough, there are 8 thrilling water slides with all kinds of twists and turns to get wet and wild. One of the newest slides opened in 2021, the O'hana Highway Tube Slide, standing at nearly 40 ft. tall the open plume slide feels like a rollercoaster as you are swung through three 360-degree turns.
